I am an Assistant Professor at the Speech and Language Therapy Programme of the Department of Health Sciences, European University Cyprus. I hold a BA in Classics  from the University of Cyprus (2005), and an MPhil (2006) and PhD (2011) in Linguistics (Phonetics) from the University of Cambridge. My PhD thesis topic was the phonetics of Cypriot Greek geminates. 
I have worked as a researcher and/or instructor at the University of Cyprus, the Open University of Cyprus, the Cyprus University of Technology, University of Nicosia, University of Oxford, and the European University Cyprus. My research interests lie in the fields of Phonetics, Phonology, Clinical Linguistics, Language Acquisition, Sociolinguistics, and Grapholinguistics. A focal point of my work has been the study of Cypriot Greek and Cypriot Arabic. Finally, a secondary area of my research interests is the study of Ancient Greek Music.
